Primarily used as a decorative climber, up to 3 or 4 m (10 to 12’) high, for trellis, arbors, and fences. Flowers are bright scarlet. Pods are about 20 cm (8”) long with mottled purple seeds that can be eaten as “snap” beans when young, or shelled. HEIRLOOM VARIETY.
