Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea is a tropical, vine-like shrub that are quite drought tolerant, love the sun, and pack a huge punch of colour. They grow effortlessly in mild winter areas of California, Florida, Texas, Hawaii, and along the Gulf Coast, and can be grown in containers elsewhere. Bougainvillea thrives in full sun. Some afternoon shade in extremely hot weather may be beneficial.become destructive.

Vera Deep Purple

Vera Deep Purple bougainvillea offers vibrant purple flowers in spherical clusters that are produced longer than most bougainvilleas. Compact, dwarf form wonderful for cascading hanging baskets, patio containers or as a spreading groundcover.

Colocasia (Elephant Ears)

The colocasia, or elephant ear plant, with it’s spectacular, giant leaves add a tropical feel to any landscape. The large, heart-shaped, dark green leaves of the elephant ear resemble a shield that can reach 3-4 ft in length and overall plant heights of 6-7 ft. tall. Grown indoors, the flowering of elephant ears is rare, outdoors once established, the small green sheath holding a greenish-yellow cob of flowers is common, but overall, it is best to grow the elephant ears outside during the summer.

White Lava

Colocasia White Lava is a clumping elephant ear with large glossy green leaves which, as the season progresses, are adorned with a wide band of creamy white down the center of each leaf, later radiating out into the side veins.

Mandevilla

The mandevilla plant has become a common patio plant, and rightfully so. The brilliant mandevilla flowers add a tropical flair to any landscape.  Mandevilla vines need some shade. They enjoy bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight, but can get burned in direct, full sunlight. Mandevillas are vines and they will need some kind of support in order to grow as best they can. Be sure to provide a trellis or some other support for your vine to grow up.

Jade White Mandevilla is a compact plant with large, trumpet-shaped, pure white flowers with yellow centres. Given the right hot and humid conditions, it can bloom all summer long, and will eventually grow into a large, shrubby climber.

Opal Merlot

Opal Merlot Mandevilla is a sun-loving vining variety that are earlier to bloom. It has extreme heat, drought and bad weather resistance. Great alone or mixed with other sun-loving varieties in patio or garden containers with a support (like a trellis).
