Gourds

Growing gourd plants is a great way to add variety to the garden; there are many types to grow and just as many things you can do with them. When planting, make sure that the danger of frost has past. Space the plants at least 6 ft. apart. Dig the hole deeper and wider than the plant requires and refill hole with loose soil. Plenty of water and the right amount of nutrients will encourage them to reach the desired length of 10 ft.
