Gaillardia (Blanket Flower)
Gaillardia are a perennial with a long season of bloom. The daisy-like flowers are produced from early summer to early fall in shades of orange, red and yellow, adding sizzle to the garden and attracting nectar-seeking butterflies. Deadhead plants regularly to encourage more flowering. Gaillardia are very easy to grow. The like full sun, seldom need to be watered and they prefer loose soil that drains well. Use near the front of the border or in the rock garden.
Large fiery orange red blossoms of Arizona Sun are tipped by a ring of rich flame yellow. A glorious flower that produces large flower heads. This low maintenance, hardy flower is trouble-free and even copes well in poor, dry soils.
